LEVER ARMS and and Balancing Torque

1. Use the slider bars to set the mass of each person on the see-saw.

2. Adjust the distance from one or both of them from the center of the see-saw and see if you can balance them!

Remember that to balance the two riders the torques around the pivot must be equal.

Torque = (Force) x (Length of the Lever Arm)
