When should Analysis Be Done on a Project?

`

  • Unfortunately, most operations still use flow analysis as a problem resolution tool rather than a problem avoidance tool.

  • Every product, no matter how simple it appears to be, should have some flow analysis performed on it. A simple strip analysis of the cavity's critical flow path can provide a wealth of information with one to two hours total effort.

  • The best time to start thinking about flow for a particular part is early in the design cycle. As a project moves forward the cost of making changes grows exponentially. If a part is going to be difficult (or impossible) to produce basic design changes should be made As Early in The Design cycle as possible to  make it more moldable and avoid costly changes later on.
